What we're about

Marshland Equipment had its beginning in an unlikely place – the eye of Hurricane Rita.

After graduating from McNeese State University, and then LSU Law School in 2000, I joined our three-generation family law firm in Cameron, Louisiana. Although the weekdays found me in the office and the courtroom, weekends and holidays were always spent outdoors, both summer and winter, enjoying the bounty of Cameron Parish. Since 1993, I have been a commercial hunting guide, which has not only given me the opportunity to indulge my passion for duck hunting, but also given me vast knowledge and firsthand experience in learning exactly the type of marshland management and water control that is most conducive and beneficial to waterfowl.

In 2005, my life changed, as did that of so many in Cameron Parish. Following Hurricane Rita, I volunteered the use of my airboats for the recovery effort, first with assisting in the round-up of stranded cattle, then with the retrieval of vaults from graves broken open by the forces of the storm. See our section on Community Service.

While this work was challenging to say the least, I came to realize that I had to combine my love for the land and waterways with my career. So, in 2006, I formed Marshland Equipment Rentals, L.L.C. and began working full time doing what I loved.

I have spent a lot of time looking at other websites, and it seems to me that many inflate their ability and track record. I think the best way for you, as a potential customer, to find out just what kind of company we are is to talk to the people we have worked for.  Our References section provides just a small sampling of customers, and I urge you to contact them and hear for yourself how we perform. We also have a comprehensive listing of Equipment and Services available to you on this website.

This is my company and I stand behind every job we do.
